Fridley, Mn. 55432 Re: Construction of a Detached Garage Without a Building Permit Dear Mr. Anderberg: First let me say that your not having a building permit for your garage built in 1974 was probably unintentional on your part. I'm sure you will recall that it was at that time that you suffered some fire damage that you contracted to have Dailey Homes repair the damage. You pi-obably thought that the permit issued to Dailey Homes covered your garage however this was not the case. Their permit was only for the fire damage repair. Ordinarily this type of Code violation could be subject to a fine and a double fee, however in your instance, the error certainly appears to be unintentional. Therefore, if you would fill out the enclosed permit application and return it to our office and obtain the building permit by August 6, 1976, your obligation to this Code will be satisfied.
