Y e r BUILDING PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE SECTION 2. The Inspector of Buildings shall, before issuing permits for the erection of any building or structure, or for any addition to any existing building or structure, or for any alteration or repairs to any existing building or structure, upon application therefore, require the payment by the applicant for such permit of fees to the amount herein below set forth and in the manner herein provided to -wit: UNIFORM BUILDING CODE: Type 1, 2 & 4 - $2.15 for each one thousand cubic feet, or fraction thereof, in such cubical contents. Type 3 & 5 - $1.85 for each one thousand cubic feet. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION For the purpose of computing fees for building permits, the cubical contents of any building or addition, is determined by multiplying the ground area covered from a point six (6) inches below the floor line of the basement or the cellar to the average heights of the upper surface or to the average* height of the roof surface of the main gable of a pitched roof. You and I have discussed these matters twice, in phone conversations on April 30 and May 30, 1997. In both of these conversations, I told you that you would have to resolve the egress code issues directly with Mr. Riesch or Fridley Building Official Ron Julkowski. In both of these conversations you assured me that you would do so promptly, though according to Mr. Riesch, you have not contacted anyone at Fridley to even discuss this matter. Additionally, Barb Erdahl called me this week to complain that not only have you failed to resolve the code issues, but the windows your firm installed in her dining room are not large enough to accommodate her window air conditioners, despite your firm's assurances to her that they would. In light of the above, I have concluded that you have shown yourself to be incompetent, untrustworthy, or financially irresponsible in violation of Minn. Stat. §326.91, subd. 1(6). Although this conclusion may constitute a basis for the suspension or revocation of your state license, I am prepared to offer you one final opportunity to resolve this issues and avoid formal action against your license. However, if you have not satisfied the City of Fridley's requirements regarding the egress code and addresses the Erdahls' complaint regarding their dining room windows by Friday, July 18, 1997, I will recommend formal administrative disciplinary action against your license.
