Fridley, Minnesota 55432 Dear Mr. Kegley: Certified Mail#521777 9-171041 Re: Garbage and Refuse Storage This letter will reiterate my conversation with your daughter on December 9, 1974. It was brought to the City's attention and verified by an on site inspection on November 22, 1974 that a violation of the waste disposal ordinance of the City of Fridley existed at the above address. Subsequently'on November 26, 1374 a letter (.a copy of which is enclosed for your information) was sent to yourself. A reinspection on December 9, 1974 determined that said violations continue to exist. Therefore, again the City must require you to dispose of in a sanitary manner, e.g. Anoka County Sanitary Landfill, all garbage and refuse found on your property. Also you will be required to provide weekly pick-up of all waste materials from your residence. Finally, the plastic bags are not acceptable as the only means of confinement for garbage and therefor you must provide 30 gallon metal containers for this purpose. A reinspection will be conducted on or about ten (10) days from the receipt of this letter. If our reinspection finds that this matter has not been taken care of, the City Attorney will be consulted for legal alternatives. We are confident in your cooperation and are hopeful that in the future your property would be maintained as a credit to yourself and the City. Fridley, Minnesota 55432 Re:Garbage & Refuse Storage Dear Mr. Kegley: It was brought to the City's attention and verified by an on site inspection on November 22, 1974 that you were maintaining your garbage and refuse in violation of Section 113 of the Fridley City Code, Waste Disposal. Said inspection found numerous bags of garbage and refuse adjacent to your garage and in a trailer. Some bags were broken open and allowing the contents to litter the ground. This is creating a potential health hazard and serves as an attraction and feeding ground for rodents. Therefore, the City must require you to dispose of in a sanitary manner, e.g. Anoka Sanitary Landfill, all garbage and refuse found on your property. At that time, Mr. Erickson had made much effort toward bringing his property into compliance; however, some exterior storage remained. The Court agreed to grant a continuance of one week for Mr. Erickson to complete removal of all exterior storage. Earlier today, I conducted an inspection of the Erickson property and observed that the water heater and remaining materials had been removed from the driveway area. Therefore, the violations for which the citation was issued have now been eliminated. Please dismiss the charge against Mr. Erickson in this matter. Thanks for your cooperation and extra assistance in getting this matter appropriately resolved. Feel free to call me at 572-3595 if you have questions or wish to discuss this further.
