Fridley, MN 55432 RE: Noncompliance of Fridley City Code 105 (Weeds) at the Following Property: Location: 1061 Lynde Drive N.E. Legal Description: Lot 11, Block 1, Lyndale Builders 6th Addition Property I.D. No.: 24-30-24-32-0033 Dear Mr. Goetzke and Mr. Powell: Fridley City Code 105 (copy enclosed) states that it is unlawful to maintain land in the City upon which weeds, grass, or rank vegetation exceeds ten (10) inches in height; or other noxious growth exists as outlined in the ordinance. This was enacted to protect the health and safety of the community and its residents. A recent inspection of the above referenced property revealed conditions which are not in compliance with this ordinance. It is important that you take appropriate steps to correct this situation immediately. I will conduct a reinspection on or shortly after August 20, 1991, at which time full compliance is expected. Should this deficiency still exist, I will instruct the City's Public Works Department to abate the condition. In the event the City abates the condition, you will be served a notice in writing indicating the work performed and the costs and expenses involved. The total amount must be paid to the City within 30 days after this notice or before the following October 1, whichever is later. On August 4, 2006, the City of Fridley provided me with notice that the storage of these outside storage items violates City ordinances. On Friday August 25, 2006, the City removed and put in storage these items(s) after the required notice and abatement process took place. I understand that if I feel aggrieved by this action, I may submit a written request for a hearing before a Hearing Examiner. Further, I understand that Code requires that the materials only be held for 30 days, at such point you must have collected your terms or the City will dispose of the items in an appropriate manner. Pursuant to the code, I am collecting the materials(s) removed from the property. I understand that as a condition of obtaining the materials, I will be required to pay all costs associated with its removal and storage as well as the abatement of other materials such as brush (disposed properly). Further, I understand if I fail to pay said costs my property will be assessed for the full value of the abatement. I understand and agree that the outside storage materials taken from the property were in violation of the City's ordinance. I hereby state that the outside storage will not be returned to the property in violation of City Ordinances. I understand that if the City deems additional removal necessary, notice will be provided to me after the removal takes place. All other provisions of City Ordinance 128, including the right to a hearing, will still apply.
