On July 1, 1990, the City of Fridley began a new program called
Systematic Code Enforcement. This program is designed to provide
fair and equitable code enforcement, improve the City's appearance,
and maintain property values by creating a more attractive suburban
environment. Under this program, all properties in the City will
be inspected approximately once each year to ensure that they are
in compliance with the Fridley City Code.
A recent inspection of your property revealed that not all Code
requirements are presently being met. Listed below are item(s)
which do not comply with the Code:
1. Discontinue outside storage of boat parked on grass in front
yard. (Fridley Zoning Code does permit storage of boats in
side or rear yard.)
2. Observed unsecured solid waste containers in front yard.
Fridley City Code 113 requires that all solid waste must be
kept in approved containers stored in the side yard, rear
yard, or garage, except on the collection date.
Your prompt attention in correcting this problem would help us in
our effort to improve the City. A reinspection will be conducted
on or about August 23, 1990, at which time compliance is

On July 12, 1988, it was confirmed by an car -site inspection that the property
at 1070 Lynde Drive N.E. does not meet the minimum standards necessary to
maintain a pleasant and prosperous suburban environment. While major code
requirements are satisfied, the following item does not comply with the
performance standards of the City Code:
1. Large area of wood, windows, and building materials along the south side
of the garage. This area needs to be cleaned and the items removed.
Your immediate action to correct this situation would be a great improvement
for your property and the entire caimunity as well. An inspection will be
conducted on or about July 25, 1988, to determine compliance.

Dear Mr. Masica:
On July 13, 1988, I sent you a letter regarding wood and other
materials along the south side of your garage. Five days later you
came into our office and stated that you were using the lumber to
build a deck, which you would be starting in a couple of weeks.
We agreed that you would cover the materials with a tarp until you
could begin construction.
Upon checking on October 3, 1988, I observed the materials still
there but no longer covered. As it has been nearly three months,
it is necessary that you either remove the wood and other items or
store them in an enclosed structure (i.e., garage, shed, etc.)
until you can use them. Please take care of this by October 17,
1988. Feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss this matter
further.

recent efforts to remodel and improve the property at 1070 Lynde Drive. Although a
recent inspection revealed near completion of the remodeling project, a pile of lumber
and large blue tarp material were also observed in the side/rear yard area.
Please make every effort to remove these materials and bring the property into full
compliance with Fridley City Code outside storage regulations. Fridley City Code does
permit the outside storage of boats, trailers, and stacked firewood located in the side or
rear yard only.
