As discussed, four (4) inlets of approved design for fresh and/or repurified water will be provided. �. As discussed, a main drain of approved construction will be provided. The filter and pump shall be approved by the N.S.F. and be of sufficient �• capacity to provide a minimum turnover of at least two (2) times in 24 hours. This department recommends a turnover rate of 7-8 hours. �. A deck, a minimum of 3 feet wide and sloped away from the pool, must be provided around the entire perimeter of the pool. The diving area will be acceptable provided there is no overhead obstruction. 7. A fence or other suitable barrier, a minimum of four (4) feet high, that affords no external hand or foot holds and which is impenetrable by toddlers, must be provided around the entire perimeter of the pool. All gates and other accesses shall be equipped with self-closing and latching devices which are capable of being locked. 8. An automatic chlorinator should be provided with a suitable test kit. ��. All electrical and plumbing installations shall be inspected and approved by the City Inspection Department. dam. All electrical lines must be 10 - 20 feet or more away from the pool surface. 11. Said letter lists the City's requirements for the construction of a residential swimming pool on your property. Item Number 7 states that "A fence or other suitable barrier, a minimum of four (4) feet high; that affords no external hand or foot holds and which is im- penetrable by toddlers, must be provided around the entire perimeter of the pool. All gates and other accesses shall be equipped with - self -closing and latching devices which are capable of being locked." Inspection by a member of the City staff on August 20, 1974, August 27, 1974 and September 16, 1974 has determined that the access gates into the pool area still do not have self-closing, self -latch- ing devices. In order for the City to final out all construction inspections, it is necessary for you to provide the aforementioned devices for all gates or other accesses to the swimming pool area. The City must require that this be accomplished on or before ten (10) days from the date of this letter at which time a reinspec- tion will be conducted to determine compliance.
