IN JUNE I SIGNED A CONTRACT TO HAVE MY DRIVEWAY PAVED.A CREW ARRIVED ON
JULY 1 AND DID THE PRELIMINARY EXCAVATING AND FILLING.ANOTHER CREW
SHOWED UP ON JULY 12 TO FINISH THE JOB.THE CONTRACT CALLED FOR TILTING
THE DRIVEWAY AWAY FROM THE HOUSE.FOR THE MOST PART THIS WAS DONE.HOWEVER,
THE BOTTOM END OF THE DRIVEWAY WAS NOT PACKED PROPERLY AND THE WATER RAN
OFF TOWARD THE HOUSE.I CALLED THE COMPANY ON JULY 13 AND TOLD THEM OF THE
PROBLEM.I WAS ASSURED THAT THE PROBLEM::,VMD BE::RECTIFIEU.'SINCF;.' HEN i.Ii.[HAVE
MADE SEVERAL PHONE CALLS,ALWAYS TALKING TO JUDY.SHE TOLD THAT THE CREWS
WERE OUT OF TOWN,BUT SHE WOULD HAVE SOMEONE CALL ME.AS YOU CAN SEE FROM
THE DATE ON THIS LETTER NEARLY TWO MONTHS HAVE ELAPSED AND NOTHING HAS
BEEN DONE.THE PAVING CREW FOREMAN ASKED FOR THE CHECK WHEN THE CREW LEFT,
I GAVE IT TO HIM BECAUSE THE CONTRACT CALLED FOR PAYMENT UPON COMPLETION.
I WAS TOLD NOT TO DRIVE ON THE DRIVEWAY FOR AT LEAST THREE DAYS.BECAUSE WE
HAD HOT WEATHER,THERE WAS NO DRIVING ON IT UNTIL THE 19th WHEN THE GARBAGE MAN
CAME.HE HAS A THREE WHEELED CUSHMAN TRUCK.THE FRONT TIRE LEFT AN IMPRINT
IN THE DRIVEWAY.WHEN I FIRST PARKED MY CAR ON FOLLOWING FRIDAY,ALL FOUR
TIRES LEFT IMPRINTS.A FORD EXPLORER PARKED ON THE DRIVEWAY ON AUG.19th
LEFT IMPRINTS.
UNLESS SOMETHING IS DONE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM,I WILL BE FORCED TO GO TO
SMALL CLAIMS COURT TO GET MY MONEY BACK.
