Dear Mr. Vetter:
On Tuesday, September 17, 1974 we visited your home because it appeared
to us that you were making extensive repairs to your roof. "'
We noted that about 75 percent of the roof had been reshingled and the
rest was left open with rafters missing or in need of repair. We posted a
"stop work" order for two reasons; one, you are violating the City Code by
working without a building permit and secondly, it is of deep concern that
the repair be made properly and according to the building code.
Upon a later inspection, it was quite apparent that you have continued
to make the repairs and you still do not have a permit. We surely can
understand your concern in wanting to get the roof closed in as soon as possible
however, you still need a building permit and we do want to meet with you to
help you to make a proper repair.
Please let us hear from you so that we will not have to take more drastic
steps to gain Code compliance. We can be reached at 560-3450 between 8:00 A.M.
and 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.
Your cooperation will be appreciated in this matter.
