You have recently received your 1980-1981 license renewal application for the

The City has completed a recent field inspection of this property and noted
that you still do not have a hard surface driveway. City Code Section
205.065, 3A, states "A properly maintained hard surface driveway and parking
stalls are required for each dwelling unit."
Therefore, this letter is to serve as notice to you that we are requiring
your driveway to be hard surfaced by the expiration date of August 31, 1981
for your 1980-1981 license.

Installation of a Hard Surface
the Residential Rental Property
In September of 1980, the City notified all owners of rental residential
housing units of the requirement to provide a hard surface driveway and
p,irking stalls in accordance with Section 205.065, 4, of the Fridley
Zoning Code. This improvement is required to reduce street and storm
sewer maintenance due to sand, rocks, leaf litter and miscellaneous
material washing into them; and for pedestrian and vehicular traffic
safety due to the skidding and sliding on material from unpaved driveways.
Since our previous notice, we have not been informed of your plans to
complete this work. Therefore, this letter is being sent as a reminder
of the requirement to provide and maintain a hard surface driveway and a
minimum of two off-street parking stalls for each dwelling unit, located at
the above listed address. Since the 1981 construction season is commencing,
it is advantageous and appropriate for you to now schedule the accomplisnment
of this necessary work.
Your positive response to this needed improvement will assist us in
evaluating your application to renew the rental license for the upcoming
year. We request that you provide the City with your plan to complete the
subject work. Please return your response no later than May 1, 1981, to the
attention of the Code Enforcement Department.
