Re: Refinal and Owner Complaint List for 5624 Matterhorn Drive N.E.
Dear Mr. Laugen:
The City has received a long list dated May 5, 1976 of 46 items of concern
by the owner, Mr. Stolquist, of 5624 Matterhorn Drive N.E. Various City.
inspectors were sent to the home to determine if any of the items constituted
Code violations. The following listed items are violations that yoo must
correct to meet the City Code;
1. Provide a door closer on the door between the garage and house.
2. Cover I beam over the garage door with a substance that will afford
the required fire rating (5/8 type X sheetrock).
3. Item 12 on the list is a violation of the Heating Code and our inspector
is communicating with you subcontractor on this.
4. Item 21 on the list is a violation of the Electrical Code, with
reference to the recessed light fixture, and our inspector is communicating
with your subcontractor on this. I have been told that the fixture must
be boxed in.
S. The driveway must be hard surfaced.
We will expect items 1 through 4 to be completed as soon as possible but in
no event later than November 1, 1976 and item 5, the driveway, to be completed
by June 1, 1977.
The rest of the items on the owners list are not Code violations, however,
you may be liable through other legal outlets that the homeowner may have.
In all honesty, a couple of the complaints we feel are well founded without
any question; one being the patio unit and the other being the condition of
the concrete steps and sidewalk leading to the front door.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Stolquist:
The City of Fridley has established a City Code for the purpose of
promoting a pleasant and attractive suburban environment. A recent
inspection of the property at 5624 Matterhorn Drive N.E. revealed
that not all Code requirements are presently being met. Listed
below are items which do not comply with the City Code:
1. Observed vehicle (194-DRT) with expired registration and not
in street operable condition located in driveway. Fridley
City Code 123 requires that all vehicles must be currently
licensed and street operable, or stored in an enclosed
structure.
2. Discontinue outside storage of water heater located in
driveway.
3. Clean and dispose of areas of dog feces located along north
side of property.
Your prompt attention in correcting this situation would greatly
assist us in helping make Fridley a better place to live. An
inspection will be conducted on or about May 7, 1990, to determine
compliance.
