Dear Mr. Ewers:
Enclosed please find the City's application form for a license to
operate residential rental property.
Section 220.11, of the Fridley Housing Maintenance Code, states that,
"To allow for a systematic enforcement of this ordinance upon rental
dwellings, no person on or following the sixtieth day after the
enactment of this ordinance shall operate a rental dwelling without
first having obtained a license to do so from the City of Fridley...
No operating license shall be issued or renewed unless the rental
dwelling and its premises conform to the ordinances of Fridley and
the laws of the State of Minnesota."
Therefore, you are required to complete the enclosed application,
sign it and return it with the appropriate fee to the City offices no
later than August 30, 1982. If there are any questions or problems,
please feel free to call on me at 571- 3450.
Failure to abate this violation may result in this matter being
turned over to the City Prosecutor for his legal consideration.

REGARDING: Pile of Railroad Ties b Concrete (Approx. 1090 Hathaway)
This problem was fir attention on May 7, 1984 and I made an
on-site is on on that date. The ma 1 was placed there by a Mr.
Benjamin Ewe 80 Matterhorn Drive N I talked to him on May 7,
1984 and he indicated tha would be gone in a week. On May 14, 1984 his
wife called and asked for an extension until May 21, 1984• She said they
were having trouble getting a contractor to come out and remove the debris.
I called Mr. Ewers on May 17, 1984 and taked to a babysitter. She said the
Ewer's were out of town until late Friday the 18th. I left a message
reminding Mr. Ewers to clean this mess up by Monday or else the City would
do it and bill him for our expenses.
I will be reinspecting the property on Monday to see if it is gone.
