The City of Fridley has established a City Code for the purpose of
promoting a pleasant and attractive suburban environment. A recent
inspection of the property at 6721 Main Street revealed that not
all Code requirements are presently being met. Listed below are
items which do not comply with the City Code:
1. Fridley City Code requires that all vehicles must be currently
licensed/street operable and kept on a hard surface parking
area if they are stored outside. I observed a truck (481-DRW)
located in the driveway which does not fully meet these
requirements.
2. Discontinue outside storage of bags of yard waste located in
the front yard.
Your prompt attention in correcting this situation would greatly
assist us in helping make Fridley a better place to live. An
inspection will be conducted on or about November 29, 1993, to
determine compliance.

Dear Owner/Occupant:
On November 17, 1993, I sent you a letter (copy enclosed) regarding
two violations of the Fridley City Code. 'One of the issues
involved a truck (license #481-DRW) with expired registration
stored in the driveway. As my initial letter indicated, the Code
requires that all vehicles stored outside on private property must
be currently licensed and street operable.
On December 13, 1993, I conducted a reinspection of your property.
At that time, I observed that the truck had been removed and the
outside storage had been eliminated. At that point, I considered
the matter to be resolved.
On January 10, 1994, I drove past your residence and observed that
the truck had returned to the driveway. Upon checking license
information, I learned that the vehicle still has expired
registration. It is imperative that this truck have current
license tabs and be fully street operable if it is kept in your
driveway.
I will be reinspecting your property on or shortly after January
19, 1994, at which time full compliance is expected. Please call
me at 572-3595 if you have questions or wish to discuss this

On January 19, 1994, a second inspection of the property at 6721
Main Street N.E. confirmed that the following item still does not
comply with City Code:
1. Fridley City Code requires that all vehicles must be currently

DRW) located in your driveway which does not fully meet these

A final inspection to determine compliance will be conducted on or
about January 31, 1994. You should arrange to complete an approved

confirm that this deficiency still exists, legal action will be
approved. If corrective action cannot be completed by this time,

1. Fridley City Code requires that all vehicles must be currently
licensed/street operable and kept on a hardsurface parking
area if stored outside. I observed two vehicles (167GPW and
481DRW) located in your driveway which do not fully meet these
requirements.
Your prompt attention in correcting this situation would greatly
assist us in helping make Fridley a better place to live. An
inspection will be conducted on or shortly after August 29, 1994,
to determine compliance.

Dear Mr. Christen:
On August 15, 1994 I sent you a letter (copy attached) regarding
two vehicles in your driveway which do not meet the requirements
of the Fridley City Code. Shortly thereafter, you contacted me,
and I agreed to grant you an extension until September 12, 1994 to
resolve this issue.
A reinspection conducted on September 12, 1994 revealed that the
code violations remained. It is imperative that this problem be
corrected as soon as possible.
I will be reinspecting your property on or shortly after
September 21, 1994 at which time full compliance is expected.
Should the code violations remain at that time, I will issue
citations for violations of the City junk vehicle ordinance.
