Currently on the property is a duplex. Each unit contains three bedrooms. Tasks Unlimited, Inc. has a contract with Anoka County to provide a variety of housing and other support services for adults with mental health disabilities. Mr. Brett stated that three adults would be living in each of the units. He also stated that this operation is not subject to the licensing requirements of Rule 36, nor does it require a special use permit. Tasks Unlimited, Inc. will lease each of the units to the three individuals collectively. Because three unrelated individuals are living in one unit, it meets the definition of a Family according to the Fridley Zoning Code. I advised Mr. Brett to contact Dick Larson regarding appropriation of rental licenses as soon as possible. Leon Madsen advised me last week that Tasks Unlimited, Inc. has applied for tax exempt status.
