I have reviewed the dispute that has risen on your contract for the rehabil-
itation of the single family home at 6007 N.E. Main Street with the City Attorney
and have concluded that the following action is to be taken.
1. The City Building Inspector 'shall make a final inspection of the unit
nn and shall submit a written report on the work necessary to complete
Qom-- the contract.
2. The cost of that portion of work that has not been completed or has not
been completed to the satisfaction of the Building Inspector shall be
estimated by the Building Inspector or by persons selectggd by the Building
Inspector and shall be subtracted from the contract bid i� 0.0 O
3. The balance of the contract bid shall then be paid to the contractor with
notification that the remainder of the bid contract shall be paid upon
completion of the work as per the Building Inspector's report, and to the
satisfaction of the Building Inspector.
4. Failure of the contractor to complete the necessary work as per the Building
Inspector's report shall mean the loss of the remaining funds to the
contractor and the use of those funds by the homeowner to complete the
contract.
5. Failure of the homeowner to allow the contractor entrance to complete
necessary work as designated by the Building Inspector shall be reason
to cancel remaining contract and return the remaining funds under the
contract to the City of Fridley for use on other rehabilitation projects.
6. This action does not release the lien on the property by the City of Fridley
for the amount of funds committed to the property for rehabilitation as per
the contract agreement.

RE: First Notice of Noncompliance at 6007 Main Street N.E.
Dear Mr. Rohwedder:
The City of Fridley has established a City Code for the purpose of
promoting a pleasant and attractive suburban environment. A recent
inspection of the property at 6007 Main Street N.E. revealed that
not all Code requirements are presently being met. Listed below
are items which do not comply with the City Code:
1. Discontinue outside storage of brush and wood located on the
east side of the property. (Fridley Zoning Code does permit
stacked firewood at this location.)
2. Fridley City Code requires that all solid waste must be kept
in secured containers stored in the side yard, rear yard, or
garage. I observed two unsecured garbage containers on the
south side of the property.
Your prompt attention in correcting this situation would greatly
assist us in helping make Fridley a better place to live. An
inspection will be conducted on or about August 3, 1992, to
determine compliance.
