Welcome to the HPE/Muskin family and the "world of the
backyard country club." You have purchased a family pool
of superior quality and durability that will give you years,of
enjoyment under normal use and care. As a home pool owner
you have a responsibility for the protection of those who
swim in your pool. We urge you to follow the basic rules of
pool safety.
SAFETY FIRST
"Points on safety to pool owners"
1. Never allow your children or your neighbors' children to
swim unguarded. An adult should always be on watch.
2. Follow the necessary health regulations concerning chlo-
rination, circulation, and filtering of your pool. Water
must be sanitized to be healthful and enjoyable.
3. Protect your pool from swimming hazards when you are
away. During the hot summer months an unguarded swim-
ming pool is a powerful attraction to small children. Fence
your swimming area or cover your pool with an effective
safety cover.
4. DO NOT DIVE - your Pool is designed for Swimming and
Wading - NOT DIVING.
YOUR AUTHORIZED HPE/MUSKIN DEALER HAS A COMPLETE LINE OF
ACCESSORIES FOR YOUR HEALTH AND ENJOYMENT:
filters 0 ladders • covers s test kits • repair kits • skimmers Y vacuum _
cleaners • chemical dispensers • safety covers • platforms and decks
with built-in fencing
The HPE/MUSKIN Manufacturing Company warrants their
pools against defects in workmanship and materials. How-
ever, this warranty does not cover damage resulting from
improper maintenance or assembly. Therefore, we urge you
to follow the instructions carefully. A little extra time and
effort will reward you greatly by extending the life of your
pool, and make assembly far easier.

SELECT A -FIRM LEVEL POOL SITE
It is essential that your pool be erected on a firm, level earth foundation. The manufacturer
cannot be responsible for pool damage caused by unlevel installation. Extra attention s given
the pool foundation before you ever begin assemblingwill more than repay y
tion and enjoyment later.
D O M IT ERECT THE POOL ON ASPHALT, TAR PAPER, GRASS, CONCRETE OR WOOD. 7
aft
STEP ig PREPARATION OF POOL SITE
• Mark off the area as shown below. (illustration A)• Remove the grass and set aside; some of
the sod will be replaced later. The entire pool area must be absolutely level.
Avoid grass or ground that has been recently treated with oil base weed killers or other chem-
icals. Avoid areas growing Nut Grass or Bermuda Grass if possible. If Nut Grass is prevalent
spread Amino Trizol on it. When this has soaked in spread Dowpon over the area. Let stand
for a period of 3 weeks.

driver to hold bolts in place until nuts are secured. Use pliers or wrench to tighten. Don't
use screw driver to tighten screws as you may create burrs. When this is completed, recheck

align the slot of the Rim over the small raised tab in the Foot Plate (illustration 0) and snap

sliding the last Rim into the Connector at the Center Upright on the opposite side of the
pool. Perform same operation at other end of pool.
NOTE: The elongated slot in the Rims is to allow a space for wall adjustment if necessary.
We strongly recommend that a flat Concrete Patio Block be set into the ground as a
base beneath each Foot Plate. Place the Patio Block in the ground and make certain

(illustration M). Move to the next Center Upright and slide a Connector (Ref. #17) onto the
Rim. Slide the Connector onto the second Upright. Proceed in this manner alternating Rim and
Connector, until five Rims are positioned on one side of your pool. Perform same operations
on the other side of your pool. 11
STEP 5 INSTALL SPACER PLATES
Referring to illustration D notice that each hole and slot are labeled, illustrating what is to
be fastened to each. Notice the hole marked for Spacer Plate—from this hole measure (towards
the outside of the Pool Area) 2'' and place a mark. Mark off this distance on each Tie Bar
until all are completed. This mark will guide you when securing the Spacer Plates.
Place two Spacer Plates on one side of the Pool Lining, the back edge up with the mark you
had placed on the Tie Bars. (See illustration H). Secure plates to Tie Bars with #10 x 1/2"
Sheet Metal Screws. Notice that the Spacer Plates will overlap. Attach in the same manner
on the other side of the Pool.
NOTE: You will notice that there are 2 lengths for Spacer Plates. Use the 2 different lengths
on each side of your pool.

proceed to the next Tie Bar performing
the same operation. This procedure
will facilitate the assembly of the
Center Upright in case the- Screw fits
snugly.
Place the Tabs of the Center Upright

Re: Final Inspection at 7388 Memory Lane
Contractor: Nygard Plumbing
Dear Mr. Bajwa:
A plumbing permit was issued on December 6, 2000, to install four (4) fixtures at your address.
According to section 4715.2800 of the State Plumbing Code, a final inspection shall be conducted
on the plumbing authorized by this permit. As of this date, no inspection has been called for.
The permit fee that was paid covers the inspections to make sure the work was completed
according to the Plumbing Code. We will keep your permit open for another 30 days and if we
do not hear from you within this time to set up the inspection, we will expire the permit and no
further action will be taken.
To set up the inspection, or to have any questions answered, please contact the Building
Inspection Division at (763) 572-3604.
