The new ordinance defines the requirements for a kennel locense, but refers to the Zoning Ordinance as to the location it can be placed. Section 205.131, (3A)(5) of the Fridley Zoning Code allows kennels only in the M-1 and M-2 (industrial) Districts. Therefore, the storage of 3 or more dogs and cats over 3 months of age in a residential area would not be allowed. Any diviation to this ordinance would constitute a violation, and would be subject to any penalties under Chapter 901 of the Fridley City Code.
