I have no specifications on pump and filter, no yard layout, no
water hook-up detail, no detail on diving board and no fencing information.
1. Provide a fence with self closing and self latching gate. Provide
a letter to City if none.
2. Pump and filter should meet National Sanitation Foundation standards.
I assume that there is at least a 12 hour turnover rate. Generally, we are
getting 7-8 hours.
3. I recommend two return lines with one in the shallow end to maintain
the chlorine residual.
4. A back water preventer shall be provided on the water line inside
the house to the particular water line supplying the sill cork used to fill
the pool with a garden hose. See the Plumbing Inspector.
5. The electrical hook-up must be approved by the Electrical Inspector.
6. Provide a minimum of a 3-4 foot deck around the pool sloping away
from the pool.
7. The transition point should be in 42-5 feet of water as a safety
precaution. This will be accepted.
8. Watch your slope in the deep end. A safety hazard with diving is
created with too much slope. We prefer vertical walls. Get proper overhang
on your diving board.
9. No overhead electrical lines. Keep away at least 10-20 feet or
much more. Keep away from underground sewers.
10. I can't comment on equipment location. There is usually no
problem if proper electrical hook-up is mdae, and it has a small concrete
slab.

RE: Monument Sign at East River Road/Pearson Way N.E.
Dear Owner/Occupant:
The monument sign located at the above referenced intersection has
experienced substantial deterioration and is in poor condition.
I have been unable to locate anyone who could be held responsible
for the maintenance of this sign. This monument sign, which is
located within the City right-of-way, has become an eyesore and it
also constitutes a health and safety hazard.
The City is currently considering removing the monument sign from
this location for the reasons cited previously. Please contact me
at 572-3595 on or before November 20, 1990, if you have concerns
regarding this possible action, so that these may be taken into
consideration.
