SUBJECT: James & Norma Iacono, 1183 Regis Lane
On Tuesday, October 12, 1993, at 4:30 pm I met Mrs. Iacono of 1183 Regis Lane. She
requested we fill and sod approximately +20 feet behind the back of curb into her yard.
Our normal sodding is approximately 2-3 feet behind the curb. We had cut back 8-10 feet
behind the curb on Regis Drive and approximately 5-6 feet on Regis Lane. The new slopes
and grading were very gradual and conformed to the existing slope of their yard. I
explained to her that the yard always sloped in that direction. She was not satisfied and
stated she would have her husband call me the next day. She also stated she wanted two
bushes replaced. One was a low cut bush on the north side of the driveway which was cut
back to allow installation of the curb and was located in City right-of-way. The City
contractor had relocated the second bush to accommodate relocating the watermain at this
location. The bush was originally located in such a location that it caused a site hinderance
at the intersection. Mrs. Iacono stated she wanted both bushes replaced by the City.
On October 13, 1993, Mr. Iacono called and stated he was told previously we would replace
over 20 ft of sod in his yard. I told him we replaced as much as necessary to provide a
smooth transition from the back of curb to his yard. I then had him speak with Jon
Thompson and they agreed to cut the yard back to allow for one additional roll of sod.
This would provide for a 10-15 foot transition from the curb to their yard. He was
agreeable to this.
The yard is smoothly graded and sodded and does not adversely impact the property
owner's. No additional work is required at this location.
