POOI : The construction of the pool wall is of 14 gauge copper bearing steel, with 2 oz. of copper bearing galvanized per sq. ft. as manufactured by FOX Pools with a 2" mason sand bottom. Fridley, Minnesota 55432 Re: Swimming Pool at 5503 Regis Trail Dear Mr. Bergman: This letter is to reiterate my conversation with Mr. Ed Wick. of Minnetonka Pools, Incorporated on August 20, 19.75 and to make clear this departments requirements for the swimming pool con- struction at the above address: 1. As discussed, two (2) skimmers approved by the National Sanitation Foundation will be approved. 2. As discussed, four (4) inlets of approved design for fresh and/or repurified water will be provided. 3. As discussed, a main drain of approved construction will be provided. 4. The filter and pump shall be approved by the N.S.F. and be of sufficient capacity to provide a minimum turnover of at least two (2) times in 24 hours. This department recommends a turnover rate .of 6-8 hours. S. A deck, a minimum of 3 feet wide and sloped away from the pool, must be provided around the entire perimeter of the pool. 6. The diving area will be acceptable provided there is no overhead obstruction. 7. A fence or other suitable barrier, a minimum of four (4) feet high, that affords no external hand or foot holds and which is impenetrable by toddlers, must be provided around the entire perimeter of the pool. All gates and other accesses shall be equipped with self-closing and latching devices which are capable of being locked. 8. All electrical and plumbing installations shall be inspected and approved by the City Inspection Department. 10. All electrical lines must be 10-20 feet or more away from the pool surface. 11. The pool fill spout must be air gapped or protected by a vacuum breaker. 12. Suitable.safety equipment to include but not limited to a ring buoy and rope that is 13� times the pool diameter, Shepards crook pole, must be provided and maintained with the pool at all times. Furthermore, these and any other requirements must meet the provisions of the Fridley City Code, Section 115, Swimming Pools. Fridley, MN 55421 Re: Intersection Vision Safety Zone Obstruction Dear Ms. Dunn -Haines: In order to provide safe passage for vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the City of Fridley, periodic inspections of street intersections are conducted. An inspection on September 26, 1984 has determined that the sightline for the intersection on your property is obstructed and could present a hazard to traffic. Section 205.154 of the City Code requires that, "On a corner lot in a vision safety control zone, nothing shall be erected, placed, planted or allowed to grow in such a manner as to impede vision..., the vision safety control zone is described as follows: That area bounded by the street right of way lines of a corner lot and a straight line joining points on said right of way lines twenty five (25) feet from the intersection of said right of way lines." Therefore, the City is requesting you, the property owner, to correct the following problem and to make the City's streets safer for travel. A reinspection will be conducted on or about October 9, 1984 to determine compliance.
