Please accept my apology for not responding sooner.
As you may or may not remember, my inquiry was concerning
the curb of my driveway, which is quite high. This
makes entry difficult and causes damage to cars and
the driveway. Since this and similar driveways were
approved by the city, I sought some help from your
department to rectify the situation.
You offered (as did John Flora earlier) to arrange
for the curb (at approximately $13.50 per foor cost
to me) and I would arrange for the asphalt work (also
at my expense).
However, you also suggested waiting until the spring/summer
of 1991 when the curbing will cost 15-200 less with
your paving contractor working that year on city
streets. That is the course of action I will probably
take and will contact you next spring.
I truly hope that similar work done for others in
the future is more effectively inspected by city
staff.
