Fridley, MN 55432 Subject: Fridley Bus Company Dear Mr. Behun: My supervisor, Barbara Dacy, Planning Coordinator, and myself inspected the Fridley Bus Company site on Wednesday, August 8, 1990. It appears that many of the buses used by the bus company are stored to the south of the bus storage building, and not directly to the east of the building adjacent to your property. The City Code does allow for vehicles related to the principal use to be stored outside, if they are screened from the public right- of-way. While there is very little, if any, screening along the west service road, there appears to be adequate screening via the natural vegetation along the Main Street right-of-way. Therefore, the storage of these buses is a permitted use in the M-1, Light Industrial zoning district (see attached zoning code section). The Code Enforcement Officer, Steve Barg, has worked with the owners of the bus company in the past to maintain a noise level that is not disruptive to the surrounding residential neighborhood.
