The procedure3for clearing snow from intersections that are
non-thru streets are as follows:
We plow all snow to the curb line, proceed to the right around
the corner and continue on down the street.
We cannot push the snow across the intersection, as this would
be a hazard to the snowplow itself. First, it would block the road
while this was being done. Secondly, it would be very dangerous
for our equipment, other vehicles and especially to persons walking
if we were to back the plow up blindly.
I have personally looked at the property in question. I can
honestly say they have no more snow than the other homes on their
side of the street.

A recent inspection revealed that the trees at the southwest corner
of your property appear to be causing a vision obstruction at the
intersection of 68th Avenue and Rice Creek Terrace. They extend
into what is called the "vision safety zone" (see attached
definition) restricting a clear sight path for motorists westbound
on 68th Avenue at this intersection (it is unclear to me whether
or not these are actually City boulevard trees).
It is important that I speak with you soon so that we can arrange
to resolve this problem. Please call me at 572-3595 as soon as
