She has been spending over $500.00 a year to protect her elm treetfrom diseases. She would like to be informed ahead of time for the need of trimming this boulevard tree and if she doesn't do the trimming, the City can do it. I assume that we are doing this trimming for need of proper cleaning for our snowplowing season. Please look into this matter and take appropriate action. Thank you for your assistance. NMQ/la TO: Nasim Qureshi FROM: John Flora , DATED: 9-18-86 Late summer and fall of each year, we schedule tree trimming of boulevard trees as they impact our snow plow operations. We attempt to clear each street to a height of about twelve feet so that the plows would not be damaged during the winter snow plowing operations. This clearing also serves to assist other trucks using the residential streets such as garbage, UPS and movers. Trinming the branches of the elm should not affect the trees' growth or dutch elm disease. We will make a note of Mrs. Edinger complaint and in the future attempt to make contact with her should the boulevard tree require any additional trimming.
