RE: No Corrective Action Required
Site: Fridley Terrace Well # 1, Fridley Terrace Mobile Home Park, 7400 Taylor Street
Northeast, Fridley, MN 55434
Dear Mr. Clark:
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) staff has reviewed the limited data provided
by the Minnesota Department of Health in the laboratory results, dated August 12, 2009, for the
above-referenced site.
The following information was provided in the report received by MPCA staff:
1. The initial results with significant levels of chlorination of the well water had elevated Diesel
Range Organics levels.
2. The results after significantly lowering the level of chlorination in the well water had Diesel
Range Organics levels that were below detection.
Based on the decrease in levels of Diesel Range Organics contamination reported after the
chlorination level was decreased, MPCA staff will not require an additional investigation or
corrective action at this time for the DRO contamination originally found in the well. If you, or
other parties later come upon any evidence of contamination other than what was previously
reported, you are required by Minnesota law to notify the MPCA immediately.
The contents of this letter only refer to information reported to MPCA staff for the activities
described above. This letter does not address other types of contamination that may be present at
the subject property. This letter does not release any party from liability for petroleum
contamination under Minn. Stat. § 115C (2008), or any other applicable state or federal law.
