Enclosed is a copy of the City's flood plain management
regulations entitled "Creek and River Preservation District". I
have noted the provisions of the regulations that apply to your
request, including the penalty for not complying.
As I have informed you by phone, your request would require
a special use permit. I have enclosed an application for this
permit. The process takes up to 6 weeks and involves a public
hearing before the Planning Commission with the final approval by
the City Council. The fee for the permit is $200. In addition,
the elevation of the new addition would have to be verified. If
you have any questions, feel free to call me at 571-3450, ext. 168.
