A final inspection was made on February 25, 1977 of 8215 Riverview Terrace
N.E. and the following items were noted which must be completed before
the structure can be finaled out;

Re: Intersection Vision Safety Zone Obstruction
Dear Mr. Roelke:
In order to provide safe passage for vehicular and pedestrian
traffic in the City of Fridley, periodic inspections of street
intersections are conducted. An inspection on July 7, 1983 has
determined that the sightline for the intersection on your property
is obstructed and could present a hazard to traffic.
Section 205.154 of the City Code requires that, "On a corner lot in
a vision safety control zone, nothing shall be erected, placed,
planted or allowed to grow in such a manner as to impede vision...,
the vision safety control zone is described as follows: That area
bounded by the street right of way lines of a corner lot and a
straight line joining points on said right of way lines twenty five
(25) feet from the intersection of said right of way lines."
Therefore, the City is requesting you, the property owner, to
correct the following problem and to make the City's streets safer
for travel. A reinspection will be conducted on or about July 18,
1983 to determine compliance.
We are confident in your cooperation to correct this problem, but if
there is any problem with the interpretation of this letter, please
feel free to call on me at 571-3450.
The inspection of your property indicated that the following
obstruction existed and should be corrected:
Trim up the lower branches on the trees so
nothing obstructs the vision of a motorist.

Re: Basement Floor & Fireplace Settlement at 8215 Riverview Terrace N.E.
Dear Mr. Buzzell:
On August 31, 1978 we received a call from Mr. Roelke, homeowner of
8215 Riverview Terrace, and he reported that his basement floor and
fireplace appeared to be settling.
On September 1, 1978 we met with him and observed that the northwest
corner of the basement floor had settled and the fireplace hearth was
also settling. It appears that the walls and footings are not moving.
Would you please contact me so that we can look at the problem together
for the purpose of deciding how the corrective work may be accomplished.
Your prompt attention to this matter will be appreciated. Please let
us hear from you by September 8, 1978.
