We are particularly interested in the preparation of the slab before the mixture of appropriate cement is laid. We have been advised by several major concrete companies that the scaled areas must be ground out and that the rest of the slab must be treated (e.g. acid etched, scored) to insure proper bonding and to decrease the possibility of further problems.
