Following neighborhood complaints, inspections were
made on August 2, 1974 by the Director of Public Works, the
Public Works Foreman and the Building Inspector of your property.
Since you were not present at the time of this inspec-
tion, we take this means to inform you that all the dirt on the
street, curb and boulevard must be removed and the street cleaned.
The City needs the boulevard between the curb and your property
line for snow storage during snow removal. If necessary, your
retaining wall will have to be reinforced so the dirt on the
boulevard can be removed.
Should you have any questions, please contact one of
the City staff mentioned above and we hope you can take care of
this matter within 10 days after receipt of this notice.

Dear Mr. Mar shall :
Recently it was confirmed by an on-site inspection that the property at 1337
Skywood Lane N.E. does not meet the minimum standards necessary to maintain
a pleasant and prosperous suburban environment. While major code
requirements are satisfied, the following items do not comply with the
performance standards of the City Code:
1. Unmaintained lawn and landscaping. This includes, but is not limited to:
the shrubs at the driveway and along the south/front side of the house,
where undesirable weedy trees have invaded those trees that were
originally landscaped.
2. Unmowed lawn.
3. Unpainted wood panels in garage door.
4. Failure to maintain retaining wall at the west side of the lot.
5. Failure to maintain the fence at the north/rear of the lot.
6. Finally, there is a question of whether you have a contract for regular
garbage pick-up. As a homeowner in the City of Fridley, you are required
to have such pick-up. Please provide this office with documentation of
your contract for garbage service hauling, immediately.
Your immediate action to correct this situation would be a great improvement
for your property and the entire community as well. An inspection will be
conducted on or about October 19, 1987 to determine compliance.

Dear Ms. Bailey:
I appreciate your recent cooperation regarding the parking of the Head Start bus on your
property. Your continued cooperation in keeping that vehicle at least 10 feet back from the front
lot line will be appreciated.
An additional safety concern has been brought to my attention. This concern involves the in
ground pool at your location. I have not inspected the pool at this time, but intend to do so in the
very near future. I am confident that any City Code concern revealed upon inspection will be
remedied by you. I apologize for the timing on this issue. I was not aware of any City Code
concern involving the pool at the time I addressed the vehicle parking issue.
Upon inspection of the pool, I will be looking for several code requirements. I have included with
this letter, portions of the zoning code that may apply. Please pay close attention to the fence and
gate requirements. Because the pool is not in operation at this time, I will not be inspecting
equipment or sanitation requirements. I do suggest however, that you review these sections of
the code for future reference.
Please contact me as soon as possible to arrange an inspection. If I am not contacted, I will
proceed with an inspection on Tuesday, October 24, 1995 to confirm that no immediate health or
safety risk exists.

This morning the rock retaining wall was washed out due to the draining of the water from your pool. It
was reported to me and I went out to look at it. I found a pump in the pool and a hose outletting the water
onto the top of the rock retaining wall.
This washout is interfering with the City contractor. I am having the City contractor leave the damaged
area between the rock retaining wall and the curb for you to restore. I am anticipating that the sod
contractor will be gone before you restore the rock retaining wall.
