In compliance with your letter dated 24 July 61, I the undersigned,
owner of above mentioned property, do hereby request that the City of
Fridley grant a waiver of the building code which states that a garage
must be located a minimum from the property line of three feet. As a
result of recent surveys the garage which I had erected on said property
is less than the required three feet from the property line. The garage
overhang does not extend over the property line. The Northeast corner
of the overhang extends almost to the property line.

Dear Mr. Elkin:
We were called by the homeowner, Mr. E. J. Buckardt, at 1358 Skywood
Lane N.E.; his call was prompted because of some problems he is having
with you on the completion of this addition. •
The major problems are water seepage into the basement of the addition
and the settlement of the new steps. Itis our opinion that sealing
the floor on the inside will not stop the leakage; it is probably
going to have to be tiled. If the step has stopped settling, the
owner will accept that.
Other items of concern are some filling of voids around electrical
outlets and the installation of a frame and globe around the ceiling
light by the back door.
Would you please contact the homeowner and complete the project as soon
as possible.
