Dear Mr. Bagetad;
In reply to your letter of June 3, 1970 we would like to
clarify the situation as best we can.
When we purchased this home several years ago, we were aware
that we are in a. R-1 Zoning, and did not purchase this home with
the intent of renting out the basement. However, many situations
have caused us to share our home in the past few years at different
times. A family from church lived down there when they lost their
home in the tornado until their new home was rebuilt. My brother-
in-law and his family lived there until they, purchased their home
after being discharged from the armed forces. Our student minister's
friends attending the United Theological Seminary staged there until
graduation in June. At present, our next door neighbors friends from
Oregon are staying there until August 22, 1974, because of a prior
committment made before receiving your letter. He is teaching a
course at the "U", and the University of Minnesota was unable to find
them housing for such a short period of time. Rather than have them
stay with our neighbors, they asked if it would be possible for them
to stag in our basement
Some of these situations have helped us with the utilities—
others have been an added expense to us, personally. However, we
feel it is our responsibility as Christian Citizens to help and to
share of our blessings.
We have no intentions of renting out our basement. If at any
time,we feel this is the tAng to do, we will contact the City of
Fridley prior to such action.
We are sorry for the delay in this letter, but my f ather-in-
law's heart attack and adjustment to a new paralyzed foster child
in our home have caused this letter to be forgotten.

Dear Mr. Lidberg:
This letter is to reiterate my conversation with Mr. Chuck Kussman of
Camper City North on April 21, 1976 and to make clear this departments
requirements for the swimming pool construction at the above address.
1. As discussed, one (1) skimmer approved by the National Sanitation
Foundation will be provided.
2. As discussed, two (2) inlets of approved design for fresh and/or
repurified water will be provided.
3. The filter and pump shall be approved by the N.S.F. and be of
sufficient capacity to provide a minimum turnover of at least two
(2) times in 24 hours. This department recommends a turnover rate
of 6-8 hours.
4. A deck of at least 3 feet wide, measured from the pool water's edge
shall be provided which extends completely around all private
residential pools; provided that above ground private residential
pools may be provided with decking cif a minimum size of 4 feet by
4 feet at pool entry points and provided that such decking has
the approval of the Health Authority.
5. A fence or other suitable barrier, a minimum of four (4) feet high,
that affords no external hand or foot holds and which is impenetrable
by toddlers, must be provided around the entire perimeter of the pool.
All gates and other accesses shall be equipped with self-closing and
self -latching devices which are capable of'being locked.
6. An automatic chlorinator should be provided with a suitable test kit.
7. All electrical and plumbing installations shall be inspected and
approved by the City Inspection Department.
8. All electrical lines must be 10-20 feet or more away from the pool
surface.
9. The pool fill spout must be air gapped or protected by a vacumn breaker.
10. Suitable safety equipment to include but not limited to a ring buoy
and rope that is 1� times the pool diameter, and shepards crook pole
must be provided and maintained with the pool at all times.

Dear Ms. Lidberg:
A mechanical permit was issued on April 10, 2001 to install an air conditioner along with
additional supply air openings, supply duct and general return grille at your address. According
to section 305 (a) of the 1991 Uniform Mechanical Code, a final inspection shall be conducted on
the mechanical work authorized by this permit. As of this date, no inspection has been called
for.
The permit fee that was paid covers the inspections to make sure the work was completed
according to the Mechanical Code. We will keep your permit open for another 30 days and if we
do not hear from you within this time to set up the inspection, we will expire the permit and no
further action will be taken.
