On 3/19/93 I recieved a call from Chuck Graff - exterior maintenance
person for Timber Ridge about the roof leaking on the south 10 stall
garage building. Upon following up on his call and speaking with him
the following day, he informed me that the leakage was caused from
water entering the garages from the ground level. At that point he
informed me that it was not necessary to inspect the roof for leakage.
On 4/27/93 Jane Bonenfant called and complained about the roof
leaking and that Chuck Graff told her to contact me. On 4/29/93
I inspected the roof and found that 80% of the field of roof was
flooded with an inch of water. I then inspected six to seven stalls
and saw no evidence of any leakage from the roof. What I did find
was at the base of the dividing walls (2 x 4 studs and sheet rock)
water stains and damage found at that point.
However, the only person that can recall this roof ever leaking was an
elderly woman that said water did enter in her garage from the roof
which was located in the southwest corner.
It appears that because of the reluctance of the Timber Ridge Association,
I along with two other roofers are going to have to flood this flat roof
in order to prove that this built-up roof system is not failing.

in 'solid hot moppings of 23 lbs.- 450 degree steep asphalt per
100 square feet.
[7]. Provide and install 90 lb. mineral flashings to all perimeter
walls and hot mop in place with 450 degree steep asphalt.
[8]. Flood -coat entire roof area with 70 lbs. of 400 degree steep
asphalt per 100 square feet, and while hot, embed 600 lbs.
washed roof gravel per .100 square feet.
[9]. Re -install all perimeter metal counter flashing. Nail and
