This ordinance regulates types, sizes, and locations of signs. The ordinance also requires a permit for all permanent signs. I recently observed a sign advertising a construction company located in the front yard. The only types of permanent signs allowed in residential districts are: (1) area identification signs of 14 square feet maximum; and (2) wall signs of 3 square feet maximum (see enclosed ordinance). This sign is illegal as it is not attached to the structure.
