The Inspector of Buildings shall, before issuing permits for the erection of any building or structure, o:. for any addition.to any { existing structure or building, or for any a ts- ation or repairs to any existing building or structure, upon applicatiou therefore, require the the payment by the applicant for such permit of fees to the amount herein t, below set forth and in the manner herin provided to -wit; Uniform Buildin&Code: Type 1, 2, & 4- $1.75 for each one thousand cubic feet, or fraction thereof, in such cubical contents. Type 3 & 5- $1.50 for _ each one thousand cubic feet. For the purpose of computing fees for building permits, the cubical contents of any building or addition to a uniform height throughout by multiplying the ground area covered from a point six (6) inches below the flop line of the basement or the cellar to the average height of the upper surface or to the average height of the roof surface of the main gable of a pitched roof. For repairs or alterations to an existing structure, the fee shall be at the rate of $3.00 per each five hundred dollars ($500.00) or fraction thereof in the cost of all proposed work. Qureshi.- City Engineer Gerald Davis - City Manager Paul Brown - Dir. of Parks and Recreation Sheldon Mortenson - Part.r Owner-ManageSkywood Mall Shopping Center MEETING DATE: April 27, 1972 11:00 A.M. The above problem was reviewed on the site by the City representatives and Sheldon Mortenson, part owner -manager of the Skywood Mall Shopping Center. Mr. Mortenson indicated he has allowed a Boy Scout troop to meet in the shopping center and he hoped to have them help in cleaning up the litter and paper around the center. Mr. Mortenson also agreed that he would have the following work completed in 2 weeks: 1. Clear the back area of the shopping center and the embankment of all debris and litter. 2. Clean and repair the troughs which direct the water to the bottom of the embankment. 3. He would use topsoil on the embankment in the Southeast corner of the property and seed the area. (The City would allow him to use some of the topsoil and peat available from the area North of 79th Avenue where the City is putting in utilities under Project #102.) 4. In the areas where there are washouts, he will repair and peg some sod on these areas to retard further erosion. S..Use the Boy Scout troop to plant sledlings along the embankment for further erosion control. b. The area up to the toe of the embankment will be mowed in a straight line to give it a neater appearance. Paul Brown has taken some samples of the vegetation on the embankment to establish their type. After many hours of coordination Mr. Mortenson agreed to push more soil up on his property to the west of yours and thereby remove any complaint you might have that erosion of soil from your property was caused by his action. As I recall he also provided some soil to build up the rear of your lot. In conjunction with this, in an effort to ensure you were being treated fairly, City crews added fill to the boulevard area to ensure you would have proper drainage. As discussed with you previously, the soil in your yard will no doubt continue to wash away unless it is sodded. The Engineer informs me that neither boulevard sodding nor seeding was included in the street project when the street by your property was put in. The policy on the boulevard was that property owners put in their own. I know of no means by which we can help you further and I would ask that you get your yard sodded as soon as possible, as it has been over three weeks and your yard is again starting to erode. On February 21, 1968, the footings were inspected and approved for pouring. On April 23, 1968, the framing was.inspected and approved for covering. On July 31, 1968, a final inspection was made and approved and notations made that a handrail was missing, chimney flashing was not painted, and the firewall was not completed.
