For the purpose of computing fees for building permits,, the cubical contents of any
building or addition, is determined by multiplying the ground area covered from a
point six (6) inches below the floor line of the basement or the cellar to the
average heights of the -upper surface or to the average height of the roof surface
of the main gable of a pitched roof.
For repairs or alterations to an existing structure, the fee shall be at the rate
..of $3.00 per each five hundred dollars •• ($500.00) or fraction thereof in the cost
of all proposed work.
In -no case shall the fee charged for any permit as set forth in Section 2 be.less-
than $7.50 plus $.50 state surcharge.

This supplement is provided to assist the applicant in computing EXTERIOR ENVELOPE
AVERAGE "U" FACTOR INFOR1ATION. This information is required so the BUILDING
OFFICIAL can determine that submitted plans comply with the ENERGY CONSERVATION
DESIGN CRITERIA of the STATE BUILDING CODE (Section 6000). It is the APPLICANT'S

A final inspection was made on November 19, 1981 of the above noted
address. It was noted that the structure is approved but there must
be a hedge planted around the perimeter of the roof to provide a
barrier before the construction can be finaled out.
We will expect this hedge to be completed by June 1, 1982 when a
reinspection will be conducted to determine compliance.

On July 1, 1990, the City of Fridley began a new program called
Systematic Code Enforcement. This program is designed to provide
fair and equitable code enforcement, improve the City's appearance,
and maintain property values by creating a more attractive suburban
environment. Under this program, all properties in the City will
be inspected approximately once each year to ensure that they are
in compliance with the Fridley City Code.
A recent inspection of your property revealed that not all Code
requirements are presently being met. Listed below are item(s)
which do not comply with the Code:
1. Discontinue outside storage of wood, tires, garbage bags, and
assorted materials located along north side of driveway.
Your prompt attention in correcting this problem would help us in
our effort to improve the City. A reinspection will be conducted
on or about August 23, 1990, at which time compliance is

The following are corrections/violations that were noted during an
inspection of your residence on Tuesday, July 19, 1994 in response
to your request. The following items must be given priority

7/14/94 Final inspection on Permit #/11148 dated Out 9, 1992.
Noticed several violations. Homeowner was sleeping. Left my card and
asked that I be called. I had several concerns.
7/15/94 Was notified by secretary that I had an appointment at 4:30 pm with
homeowner.
7/15/94 4:30 pm inspection: Asked homeowner for a walk through with her. While
inspecting and entering home made the following observations;
1) Front landing reg. grade 2 x 4 and osb. Violation of UBC
2516(c)(7).
2) Second floor Kraft faced insulation not covered with fire retardant.
Violation of UBC 1714(c).
3) Duct work installation not complete. No mechanical connection
between supply plenum and duct work. Violations of UBC 404, UBC 1212
as defined in UMC 404 & 415.
4) Plumbing vent into mechanical room. Violation State Plumbing
Code 4715.2330 and 4715.2520, causing a hazardous location as defined
in UMC 410.
5) Lack of union and drip pipe at high pressure regulator. Violation
of UMC 503 & UMC 2213.
6) Lack of combustion air. Violation of UMC 601.
7) Dryer vent is plastic and not vented to outside. Violation of UMC
1104 and UMC 1903, causing a hazardous location as defined in UMC
410.
8) Bath fan vent not vented to outside. Violation of UBC 1205(c).
9) As can be seen by permit card (copy attached) there are no active
permits violation of UMC Chapter 3 and UBC Chapter 3.
Requested permission from homeowner to return with Chief Building
Official. Homeowner agreed.
