The Inspector of Buildings shall, before issuing any permit for the erection of any building or structure, or for any addition to any exist- ing building or structure, or for any alterations or repairs to any existing building or structure, upon application therefor, require the payment by the applicant for such permit of fees to the amount herein below set forth and in the manner herein provided to -wit: 2.1. Fridley, MN 55432 Be: Intersection Vision Safety Zone Obstruction (SECOND NOTICE) Dear Mr. Smith: Enclosed you will find this department's letter dated August 6, 1984. This letter brought to your attention the need to cut and remove the lower branches of a Spruce tree to provide a better sight line for motorists traveling on Tempo Terrace and Ballet Boulevard. As indicated, a reinspection was conducted on August 21, 1984 and it was determined that no effort has been made to correct the intersection obstruction. At this time the City must again require you to remove any sight line obstruction and maintain a clear view for motorists traveling on Tempo Terrace and Ballet Boulevard. To determine compliance, a reinspection will be conducted on or about September 4, 1984. Fridley, MN 55432 Re: Intersection Vision Safety Zone Obstruction Dear Mr. Smith: In order to provide safe passage for vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the City of Fridley, periodic inspections of street intersections are conducted. An inspection on August 1, 1984 has determined that the sightline for the intersection on your property is obstructed and could present a hazard to traffic. Section 205.154 of the City Code requires that, "On a corner lot in a vision safety control zone, nothing shall be erected, placed, planted or allowed to grow in such a manner as to impede vision..., the vision safety control zone is described as follows: That area bounded by the street right of way lines of a corner lot and a straight line joining points on said right of way lines twenty five (25) feet from the intersection of said right of way lines." Therefore, the City is requesting you, the property owner, to correct the following problem and to make the City's streets safer for travel. A reinspection will be conducted on or about August 20, 1984 to determine compliance.
