SIGNATURE OF APPLICANT PRINT NAME DATE Z- / �� 10 Sept 2007 Dear Marge and Chris S h, I have been talking to the City of Fridley for the past 2 years about putting a garage up in my back yard I was informed that all I needed to do was to locate the property markers with a metal detector, and then sketch up a -drawing of my lot, showing locations of property lines, existing house and garage, and where want to put up a new garage. After taring 3 different times, with 3 different metal detectors, including rental ones, i was not able to locate them. Then I talked with the city again and they told me I would have to hire a surveyor, so I did When the survey was done, It showed that your fence was put up on' my property. The fence needs to be mowed, or taken down. This needs to be taken care of within 30 days of receipt of this letter, or I will have to take it down. Enclosed with this letter is a copy of the survey I had done recently, as well as the "fence guidelines" from the City of Fridley. I've placed copies of all of this with the file on my house with the City of Fridley as well, that way if anyone ever needs a copy of the survey, it is available. I also talked with the surveyors office of the Anoka Count Government Center, and the suggested the same thing. your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated, thank you. Fences must be constructed entirely on your property, unless you and your neighbor agree in writing that the fence may be positioned on the property line. It is a good edea to leave enough room outside your fence to allow room for maintenance without trespassing on neighboring property. The following are criteria for erecting a fence. In no case shall a fence impede vehicular vision or cause a hazardous condition to exist. A fence or hedge located in the front yard shall not exceed 4' in height. A fence or hedge located within ten feet of a driveway access shall not exceed a height of 30 inches. • A fence bordering side and rear lot lines shall be no more than 7' in height.
