One of the items discussed was the repair of the existing fireplace. Please be advised that the fireplace can not be reconstructed and restored in the manner that it existed before the fire. There are two major Code violations that exist; the two inch clearance to.combustibles does not exist along the back of the unit, and the offset from the firebox to vertical portions of the chimney far exceeds the 4 inches horizontal in 24 inches vertical.
