We expressed the danger in these mounds of sand, and the extremely large hole that exists. Not only is it unsafe, it is a public nuisance. Also noted is that any vehicle needing to enter this part of the alley to work on utilities or other such things would not be able to, due to the size of the jumps and hole. Taking in to consideration the verbal communication that was given, a judgement was made by the Engineering Department of the City of Fridley that they did not need to take any action in this matter. It is our opinion that the city should have at least taken a physical look at the situation before evaluating it and deciding not to do anything about it. If an injury were to take place and we are to be found at fault because our property borders this area, we will seek restitution. We would like this letter added to our permanent records on file.
