Danube Road Fridley, MN I believe I have been very patient with you for approximately two years living with the current cracked floor situation in my garage. As you recall, after it was determined that the original floor slanted toward the back of the garage, your sub- contractor poured a slab over the top to hopefully correct the situation. I do agree that now water does not run into the garage as it did before; however, this new floor cracked, and as we have discussed for close to two years, we (I and you) need some resolution to this situation. After your sub had determined by drilling holes in the floor that there was no settling of the ground underneath the original slab, I contacted the Fridley City Building Inspector. It was his opinion that alter contacting the masonary institute, that new top slab was too thin at the front (less than the re- quired two inches) and that it did not adhere to the bottom slab. These two reasons are the causes then for the significant crack in the floor. If you walk or drive on the floor, you can hear noise from the movement and visibly see it more up and down also. I am writing to you requesting action on this issue. I believe that after discussing this issue with the city inspector and your lack of action that the only recourse I have is to require breakup, removal and repairing of the entire floor as soon as possible.
