Seconded by Councilman Utter. Upon a voice vote, all voting aye, Mayor Liebl declared the motion carried unanimously. ADOPTION OF AGENDA: The City Manager said he had distributed a memorandum to the Mayor and members of the Council to be discussed under the item on the agenda concerning the appointment of Police Officers. MOTION by Councilman Nee to adopt the agenda. Seconded by Councilman Starwalt. `7pon a voice vote, all voting aye, Mayor Liebl declared the motion carried unanimously. VISITORS: WILLIAM H. GATES, 6701 2nd STREET N. E.: Mr. Gates addressed the Council requesting the school bus stop on 67th and 2nd be changed to several hundred feet down the block to in front of the park. He said the bus is currently stopping in front of his home and the children continually run around his property and he is unable to keep a lawn. He said some of his neighbors are having the same problem. He said'he thought it would be just as convenient for the bus to stop in front of the park. Mr. Gates said he had talked with members of the School Board and he had also called the bus company. He said he had not received any results as the bus would have to travel one block out of the way. Mayor Liebl said he would ask the Ward Councilman to look into the matter. He said there was a policy determining the location of the school bus stops in School District #14. He told Mr. Gates that he would get an answer. 120 & 124 RIVERS EDGE WAY: Mayor Liebl said he would like to bring a matter to the Council's attention. He said the property owners at 120 Rivers Edge Way, C. Mikula;, and 124 Rivers Edge, G. E. Kairies, which is in the Third Ward, and north of Stevenson School, have ten feet of snow that has been piled up.from plowing the school parking lot, adjacent to their lots. He said the warmer temperatures are causing the snow to melt and flood the back yards. Welf The award cited Mr. Welf for achieving the Eagle Scout Award, the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America and also the Pro deo et Patria Award, the highest religious honor in Scouting.
