Mr. Gerry Guimont called me on Friday and indicated that.
there is quite a bit of vandalism, and this area is quite
dark next to his apartment building. He said there are a
number of senior citizens_ living in this building and this
building is across from a park. He felt there was justifi-
cation for a mid -block light to be provided at this location.

We reviewed area and it appears that installation of a street light could
be justified, however, due to problems that have occurred in the past with the
installation of a light without all the residents in the neighborhood approving
the street light, we have requested Mr. Guimont to provide: us with a petition
with the names of the residents adjacent to the proposed street light location.
