The above entitled matter came before the City Council of the City of Fridley
and was heard on the 3rd day of June of 1985 on a petition
for a special use permit pursuant to the City of Fridley's Zoning Ordinance, for
the following described property.
To allow the construction of a second accessory building, a 20 x 16 foot garage,
to be used for storage of an antique car.
IT IS ORDERED that a special use permit be granted as upon the following conditions
or reasons:

one year. Seconded by Councilman Schneider.
Mr. Boo stated this application is by North Suburban spi tal District and
they are responsible for the cost. He stated he ha ro idea what could be
cone about screening the snoke stack. He stated frankly didn't see how
the two are tied together, but more importantly ul d envision the cost to
be quite extraordinary. He stated he has no dea whether or not this is
acceptable.
MOTION WAS WITHDRAWN BY CDUNCILNAN DSPEED WITH PERMISSION OF HIS
SECDNDER, C3UIJCILMRIN SCHNEIDER.
NATION by Councilman Goodspeed to ny special use permit, SP #85-03 with
access onto Lyric Lane for parking lot. Seconded by Councilman
Schneider. Upon a voice vote all voting aye, Mayor Nee declared the motion
carried unanimously.
NOTION by Councilman Go speed to ooncur with the recommendation of the
Planning Commission t approve special use permit, SP #85-03 subject to the
following stipulat' ns: (1) no access be provided off Lyric Lane; (2)
screen parking t from right-of-way and residential properties; (3)

Mr. Flora, Public Works Director, stated this is a request for a special use
permit to allow construction of a second accessory building, a 20 x 16 foot
garage, to be used for storage of an antique car. He stated this gara:e
would not have a driveway, as the petitioner will drive the car only about
once a week during the Bulmer and not at all in the winter.
Mor. Flora stated the Planning Commisson recommended approval with a
stipulation that the special use permit be reviewed by staff in one year.
NDTICN by Councilman Fitzpatrick to concur with the recommendation of the
Planning Commission and grant special use permit, SP #85-04 with the
following stipulation: That the special use permit be reviewed by staff ir,
one year. Seconded by Councilman Schneider. Upon a voice vote, all voting
aye, Mayor Nee declared the motion carried unanimously,.
