W From the desk of _ NASIH QURESHI CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE MEMORANDUM JF -238 DATE: May 23 1984 TO ACTION INFO SUBJECT: PAVING OF PART OF AN ALLEY OFF 57TH Jnhn Flora, nPw 6/6184 AVENUE BETWEEN 4th and 5TH STREET See the attached request from five property owners about their desire to pave a portion of the alley at their own cost and being responsible for the maintenance of the same. This item was discussed at the pre -council meeting of May 21, 1984, and the City will go along with the proposal and if the alley is paved according to City standards, we will take the responsibility of patching the surface if need be in the future, but all other maintenance and snowplowing will be done privately by these owners. Make sure we do stake the grade for the alley that would make sense for any future extension and for the proper tying into 57th Avenue. Thank you for your assistance. Our specifications call for 6" of Class V and a total of 3;2-" of asphalt. These are substantially greater than what is proposed to be placed. If the work is not completed this week, we can stake the alley out after we start 66th Avenue for the Brickner Plat next week.
