Good Morning,
I need to obtain an extension on my building permit. It is almost completed, and only
requires the final finishing inspection, but things are not getting done in the original time
frame.
Reasons for the delay include:
1. An unbelievable number of problems in obtaining material for the shed.
Multiple items have been delivered late, and incorrectly, and had to be re-
ordered. The soffett material, which I initially ordered in July, is on it's 5th
round of delivery problem.
2. Due to a 3 -month stretch without work earlier this year, spending on materials
was lower than originally planned. Lower spending led to lower productivity.
3. Any lest I be dishonest, I have to attribute a portion (less than item #1) to my
poor planning and scheduling of some of the activities.
As I mentioned, the work is very nearly completed. The primary delay at this time is
related to the undelivered soffett material and construction of the large door.
I understand that is letter is all that is required to obtain the extension.
One last item: How do I receive notification that the extension was approved??
