3. April 19, 1968- Inspection made by Jan Gasterland. Upon advise
of the City Attorney the contractor was advised not to pour.
4. April 26, 1968- Stop work order issued by Inspector Gasterland.
5. April 26, 1968 Letter written to the owner Terry Haig by the
City Engineer, Mr. qureshi stating that he must go to the
Board of Appeals for the variance on the setback.
6. May 3, 1968- Inspection made.by Clarence Belisle. Pictures were
taken at this time of the garage under construction.
7. May 6, 1968- Complaint signed by the Building Inspector.

This letter is to inform you that a stop work order
has been issued on the construction of your detached garage.
As you know, the permit for this garage was .issued with
a 35 foot setback stipulated on the survey. The applicant
for the permit came in to the City Hall later and requested
approval of the change of setback requirement from 35 feet
to 30'feet. He was informed that he would have to apply
for a waiver of this requirement to the Board of Appeals.
I understand your contractor has poured the slab for
the garage with a 30 foot setback instead of 35 feet as
required. For this reason the Building Inspection Depart-
ment .has issued a stop work order on this construction.

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 45.262: The building lines will prevail in lieu of rear
yard requirements. In the instnce of Double
Frontage lots when reverse frontage is approved, set back for
garages and accessory buildings in a rear yard will be the same -
as for a front yard in the R -District area concerned
The owner of a Double Frontage lot may elect to
front the principal building on either street on which the lot
abuts, provided that the principal entrance to such building shall
open on the street so selected. Where any such election is mani-
festly contrary to the established character or welfare of the
neighborhood, the permit shall be referred to the Board of Appeals
for approval or disapproval.

As you are aware, this year a street improvement project took place in
front of the four-plex registered under your ownership at 390 -57th Place
NE. During it's construction, it has been determined that your existing
off-street parking accommodations on 57th Place are in violation of the
Fridley City Code #205.061, Section 3, Paragraph E.
Copies of the pertinent zoning ordinances as they relate to this subject,
are attached for your reference. In reviewing the related files on this
property, it was found that no Special Use Permit has been issued or var-
iance granted to allow this type of off-street parking.
Provisions have been made to continue access to these existing stalls, but
only contingent upon application and approval of appropriate variance. It
is imperative that application be made no later than June 17th, 1976, for
the Board of Appeals meeting of June 29th, 1976. A copy of the application
form is also attached for your convenience. An application fee of $15.00
should accompany your return. Temporary approval will be granted until
the. aforementioned Board of Appeals meeting, after which, the present
parking situation will not be allowed, unless otherwise approved by the
Board of Appeals.

County of Anoka, State of Minnesota, hereinafter referred to as the
"City".
WHEREAS, the Owners have requested that the City allow the place-
ment of fencing across the following described property:
That property lying between Lot 1, Block 5, City View and Lot
15, Block 6, City View, from 57th Avenue N.E. to 57th Place N.E.;
as shown on the attached map which is made part of this agreement, and;
WHEREAS, the Owners understand that the above described property
is a public right of way, and;

Dear Mr. O'Neill:
It was confirmed by a routine on-site inspection on March 11, 1980 that
the above listed rental property was being maintained in violation of
Chapter 220, Residential Maintenance Code, of the Fridley City Code.
Although.the general condition of the property was good, the inspection
on the above date found the following deficiencies which must be
corrected. Any repairs or improvements must be completed in a workmanship
like manner. It is the City's hope that similar or other deficiencies in
apartments that were not inspected will be corrected as needed.
