We have received a petition for another -street light to be located on 58th
Avenue between Quincy and Jackson Streets. The location identified is
between 728 and 742 - 58th Avenue. This light, which would be a little
over 200 feet from the existing street lights, is not consistent with the
City's street light policy.
We could either pursue an -agreement with the adjoining property owners to
have then pay for a street light similar to the Brigadoon area or the
Council could designate the placement of a light and appropriate rationale,
if they so desire. Please indicate how we should proceed with this item.

The City received a petition on September 24, 1985 in request for a street light from
Steve Linder. Would the request for the light be put between 711 or 721 58th Avenue,
or 728 or 742 58th Avenue.
Recently there has been some kind of undesirable activity and Mr. Linder has again
contacted Councilman Goodspeed.
Please review the material again according to city policy and provide information by
Friday, August 15, 1986 to Councilman Goodspeed.

I have resurrected the file for the street light on 58th Avenue which was submitted
in September,1985. The most appropriate place for a light if one was to be installed
would be between 728 and 742 -- 58th Avenue. There is a curve in the road at this
point and it could be considered applicable to the City Council's policy to install
lights at intersections Jmid- block of 1,300 feet and at curves and hills.
Since this light is only a little over 200 feet from the existing street light, it
could also be considered appropriate for the property owners to enter into an agreement
to have the light installed and NSP or the City bill then as we have done in the Blomberg
areas.
Plase let me know which course, if any, we should pursue.
