PW 8 MRS. ELVEN, 571-33 , 20-62z Way Mrs. Elven indicated that snowplows damaged the concrete curb in front of her house and we have done nothing to fix it. Please advise her our schedule of fixing.it, if that is our plan. She also indicated that there is an alley behind her house which is used by the adjoining property owner for garbage pickup. She indicated he had filled his property 6 feet higher than the alley, and even though they had put a redwood fence 3' from the right-of-way, their fence is continually being damaged by people who are trying to avoid the ruts in the alley. She knows the City does not maintain the alley, but if the neighbor has created a special situation---. Please look into it and try to work toward alleviating the problem. Thank you. NMQ/ms May 17, 1983 Mrs. Elven has been contacted in regards to her curb restoration. This is a bituminous curb with a few sections of sod that need to be repaired. We will repair this section as asphalt and personnel are available but not later than July. The alley is an unimproved alley. If we have some excess material and we are working in this area, we will attempt to provide some fill for the ruts without any major effort in contradiction to our unimproved alley policy.
