This summer, dirt material was placed without an approved Land Alteration Permit' on the
properties of 710 and 720 67th Avenue and adjacent to 6568 Clover Place. I am sending this
notice to all three properties as property lines weren't clearly identified.
City Code requires the property owner to get a Land Alteration Permit' and submit a grading plan
to place dirt material. At that time, we also review changes in the drainage pattern.
Since the ground is now froze, the dirt material must be removed after the ground thaws. 1 would
also recommend that you monitor the drainage and prevent flooding of adjacent properties during
the spring melt if the material is not removed by May 15, 2006, the issue will be turned over to
the Code Enforcement office for resolution. Code Enforcement has the authority to write citations
and take legal action.
In 5 years with the City, I have always been able to resolve land disturbance issues with property
owners without citations. If you cannot meet the deadline, please call me to discuss the matter at
763-572-3551.
