REGARDING: Commons Football Scorer's Booth, 6V6 - 63rd Avenue
On Monday, July 10, 1989, Curt Dahlberg requested that I inspect
the elevated scorer's booth at Commons football field to determine
if it was safe to continue to use.
The structure was built about 15 years ago. It is supported by two
continuous timber legs that are braced up by two other large timber
legs. The two angle bracing legs are rotting at the steel
connectors located at the bottom end.
It is my opinion that the problem is severe enough to warrant
suspending the use of the structure until a proper repair is
completed.
I also feel that the floor joist system of the booth itself is
inadequate and should be reviewed by a qualified professional to
determine its safety.
I feel the front portion, that projects out from the main box, is
improperly constructed.
