Fridley Ordinances and rulings of the Department of Buildings, and hereby

BUILDING PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE
SECTION 2. The Inspector of Buildings shall, before issuing permits for the
erection of any building or structure, or for any addition to any existing
building or structure, or for any alteration or repairs to any existing
building or structure, upon application therefore, require the payment by the
applicant for such permit of fees to the amount herein below set forth and in
the manner herein provided to-wit:
UNIFORM BUILDING CODE: Type 1, 2 & 4 - $2.15 for each one thousand cubic
feet, or fraction thereof, in such cubical contents. Type 3 & 5 - $1.85 for
each one thousand cubic feet.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
For the purpose of computing fees for building permits, the cubical contents
of any building or addition, is determined by multiplying the ground area
covered from a point six (6) inches below the floor line of the basement
or the cellar to the average heights of the upper surface or to the averages
height of the roof surface of the main gable of a pitched roof.
For repairs or alterations to an existing structure, the fee shall be at the
rate of $3.00 per each five hundred dollars ($500.00) or fraction thereof in
the cost of all proposed work.
In no case shall the fee charged for any permit as set forth in Section 2 be
less than $5.00.
VERIFICATION OF FOUNDATION
NOTE: Permits for construction will be issued a minimum of 24 hours from the
time of application, to allow for proper review of the proposed structure, and
of the construction site.
A Certified Survey of the lot, showing the location of the foundation, once it
has been constructed, will be required before proceeding with the framing.
CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY
Application for a Certificate of Occupancy shall be made ten (10) days prior
to the use or occupancy of any structure for which a building permit has been
issued; and said structure shall not be used or occupied until a Certificate
of Occupancy has been issued.

Gentlemen: Fridley, Minnesota
We propose to furnish necessary labor, material and equipment required
to do the following reroofing, roof insulation and sheet metal work
on the above building:
Demolition
1. Remove the present roofing down to top of roof insulation
and remove all felt base flashing from curbs. Haul away
debris .
2. Remove tapered wood board at roof edge.

Carpentry Work
1. Raise curb height of 3 low curbs approximately 4" .
Line curb at stack with 24 gauge galvanized iron.
2. Install new 6 x 6 wood cant at roof edge. See detail
attached.
Roof Insulation
1. , Replace wet or damp roof insulation with new 2" rigid
board roof insulation. See unit price at end of bid.
Insulation Cant Strip
1. Provide at all curbs.

.Roofing.
1. Apply dead level asphalt and gravel roofing over insulation
consisting of 1 layer of 40 lb. coated base sheet set in
steep asphalt and 3 layers of 15 lb. asphalt felt set in
dead level asphalt. Gravel in with dead level asphalt.
Felt Base Flashing
1. Apply reinforced asbestos felt base flashing at roof edge
cant and at curbs.
Sheet Metal Work
1 . Install new 24 gauge galvanized iron outlet sleeve with roof
flange and gravel stop ring at present roof outlet. Also
provide large box type wire strainer.
2. Install 24 gauge galvanized iron overflow scupper through
roof edge cant.
3. Install new 24 gauge galvanized iron cap flashing and fascia
at roof edge cant.
4. Remove and reset scuttle cover, ventilators and stack flashing.
All the above for the net sum of One Thousand Five Hundred Forty
Eight Dollars ($1,548.00) .
Unit price - remove present wet or damp roof insulation and replace
with new $ .68 per square foot.

NOTE: 1. We have not included replacing the insulation in the metal
fascia panels. It is fiberglas and should dry out without
any damage of loss of effectiveness.
